My name is Alan Ward. I am from upstate New York, but consider Boca Raton my home now. I love to create, especially by turning mud into life. I have enjoyed sculpting and painting for most of my life. My work highlights my interest in creating not only classical beauty, but emotions of the human soul. I try to suggest evolutionary flow by using a series of themes through fantasy and reality. Created from my own vision, somewhat mythical and self-surpassing, some of my images may express strong feelings, such as joy, peace, fear and anger.
I was fortunate enough to study and learn from the late Dr. Magnus Gustsson, the son of late artist August Larusson of Iceland. Dr. Gustsoon was not only my mentor, but a dear friend who also taught me the art of life. Let what you see be a mystery. Let me show you the gamut of emotion.
