Andrea Dent is an Abstract Expressionist Painter who lives and works in South Florida. A native of Detroit, her distinctive personal style emanates joy and strength.

Her colorful FLORAL ALCOHOL INK series gives one a glimpse at the beautiful Michigan countryside of her youth while sitting in stark contrast to the, WHERE DO I BELONG series showing the neglect and rusty reality of the current abandoned city.

Her series, Music Sounds Like Color, was inspired by her ability to see colors when she hears music, synesthesia.

The questions she gets most about her art have to do with technique. Whether how she gets the intricate shapes and colors or how she manipulated the wax when working with Cold Wax & Oil.
