Bianca Barber

Bianca Barber is an emerging visual artist based in St. Petersburg, Florida, whose work is deeply inspired by the dreamlike essence of surrealism and the emotive brushstrokes of impressionism. Her journey into art began during high school, where she honed foundational skills in drawing and acrylic painting under the mentorship of plein air painter Bernard Rosage. Between 2013 and 2019, Bianca devoted herself to refining her techniques, which eventually led to formal studies in Beginning Painting at the University of South Florida in 2020.
In 2024, Bianca expanded her repertoire by exploring stencil and spray paint techniques under the guidance of artist and friend Michael Salisbury. This shift brought new dimensions to her creative practice, blending traditional approaches with modern methods to produce thought-provoking and visually dynamic works.
Bianca’s educational background in Psychology has deeply influenced her artistic philosophy, highlighting the benefits of creative flow for the nervous system. Her studies in Digital Marketing have further empowered her to curate art events and promote the works of fellow artists, fostering a sense of community and collaboration within the art world.
Bianca’s participation in numerous art shows throughout St. Petersburg reflects her commitment to sharing her vision and contributing to the city’s vibrant art scene. Her move from a home-based studio to a professional space at Zero Empty Spaces marks a significant milestone in her career, aligning with her mission to bring art into public and third spaces.
