Artist BIO
Jessica Goldman

Jessica Goldman is a passionate artist and licensed art psychotherapist with a deep commitment to fostering healing and personal growth through creative expression. With a Bachelor of Science in Fine Arts from Skidmore College and a Master's degree in Art Therapy from New York University, Jessica combines her artistic expertise with a therapeutic approach to help individuals explore their emotions and overcome challenges. Her current experience as an art psychotherapist informs her most recent paintings. As a process-oriented painter, Jessica enjoys the intersections of art, nature, and mindfulness. Creating cropped compositions from her own photographs of flower arrangements with personal significance, Jessica manipulates their form in a spontaneous and intuitive manner while applying paint to canvas, thus encouraging the element of surprise.
Prior to entering the field of art therapy, Jessica was involved in developing art appreciation programs at the Greenacres Elementary School in Scarsdale, NY, as well as donating her artwork to fundraising initiatives in Scarsdale, NY.
Raised in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Jessica has been painting and creating art since childhood. Her first solo exhibition in 1990 took place in Campinas, Brazil. Jessica has trained with artists in US, France, Italy and Brazil. Jessica’s painting from her senior show was selected for the permanent art collection at Skidmore College.
