Karen Katonah

Karen Katonah-Artist Bio Initially, I studied under portrait painter Iroka Adachi Redman of Garden City, NY. I continued studying in college and graduated with a minor in fine art from Adelphi University. Over the years, my portraits have been selected for several local juried art shows in Florida. Additionally, my oil paintings hang n the homes of Mrs. Sherry Klein of Boca Raton, Mrs Katie Winslow of Vero Beach and the late Vera Ehrig of Delray Beach. I am currently studying watercolor under the expertise of Carl Stoveland. In 2021, I started concentrating on photography. In 2022, I was a finalist in the South Florida Wildlife Photo contest and a third place winner in the Mounts Botanical Gardens Photo contest. In 2023, I won first place in the Mounts Botanical Gardens Photo contest for Garden Sculpture category and third place for Insect Close-up category. Recently, I was honored to be one of fifteen artists selected to display their work at the Palm Beach International Airport’s “Bloom Where You Are Planted ” exhibit which runs May 22 through October 30, 2024. I am also an active member of the Boca Raton Camera Club and have received over 30 evaluations of 9 out of 9 for my photography entries over the past two years
