Artist BIO
Leslie Albert
Leslie Albert is an artist, designer and educator. She received her BA In Fine Art from Stanford University studying with renowned Bay Area figurative painters, Nathan Oliveira and Frank Lobdell. She completed her post-baccalaureate work at the University of Miami, studied in Italy with Luciano Guarnieri, and recently completed her MFA at Florida Atlantic University combining disciplines of drawing, painting and printmaking. Her professional career as an interior architect and designer integrated her dedication to art and design. She completed award-winning projects in South Florida and the Caribbean. As a long-standing member of the South Florida Art Community, she has been a Professor of Art at Palm Beach State College and Florida Atlantic University. Her artwork expresses her fascination with the human figure and expands beyond formal representation toward themes of universal emotions and conditions. Integrating narrative formats and a contemporary approach, she retains an intuitive process that enhances emotive content while retaining the breath of gestural lines and marks against abstract color fields. Working in multi-media large-scale formats, she brings thought and comfort to the commonalities of the human condition and experience.
