Andrea Goldsmith lives and paints in Florida after spending many years dividing her time between New Hampshire and her native New York City. She continues to explore her long-running abstract theme that is based on her travels in Italy and Spain. She continues her interest in the figure through portraits and commissions and paintings of dancers.
Goldsmith's ballroom dance paintings are based on her own experiences as a competitor and a spectator. Goldsmith had a six-week solo exhibition at the Dave and Mary Alper JCC Futernick Family Gallery in Miami from November 2017 through January 2018, where she exhibited over thirty of her abstract paintings. Shortly after that she participated in an exhibit at One Art Space in Tribeca in New York City, this time showing her paintings of dancers. Andrea recently moved o Delray Beach from Miami.
