PAUL GUIRGUISI am Paul. I was born here in Florida march 26 1967. I can remember in nursery school at 3 when the I was randomly (fate?) told how to hold the crayon correctly by a passing nursemaid and color within the lines. My love of and ability to excel in art had began.
As a teen I was chosen to be an apprentice to the royal Portrait painter Ralph Wolf Cowan and for many years learned his techniques in oils and worked on commissions by the Regans, Queen Elizabeth the second, Pope John Paul, Mikhail Gorbachev, the Marcos family, Sultan of Bruni and many many others. After some time abroad living in Australia and traveling Europe I had my views of the world and techniques incredibly broadened. I moved out on my own as an adult and have been a decorative painting contractor working with designers under my corporate name American Renaissance Inc. Based on the view of bringing a "Rebirth" of craftsmanship on restoration murals, Venetian finishes, gold leafing and a multitude of other paint connected projects. Now in my fifties with my priorities less on finance and more on the joy of Art I have decided to focus again solely on my work in oils. |
