My name is Marcela and I am a teacher and artist (teacher-artist? artist-teacher?) who currently paints imagery about being an outsider in Florida whilst teaching sculpture at Alexander W. Dreyfoos School of the Arts in West Palm Beach.

Doing both is challenging and enriching, which is the sort of bitter sweetness that I think leads to the best creative places, in my opinion. Between juggling both of my professional duties, I try to write pop songs, go on walks, and notice different species of palm tree in the area. It is my intention to create art until the day I die (hopefully in the distant future) and I enjoy nothing more than to interact with people who feel similarly.
