Artist BIO
Heather Bergstrom
My art expresses the joy and wonder I experience in my daily life. My acrylic and oil paintings, line and wash and charcoal drawings show soul-touching scenes which tell the viewer a story, bringing them into an intimate moment of the event I capture. Sharing simple, relatable moments expressed in my art allows me to deepen cherished memories and experiences. I invite viewers to sense positive emotions and be reminded of less complicated times in their personal history. Short Bio Heather Bergstrom is an artist who tells stories through her art. She paints and draws expressive scenes which evoke feelings of contentment, nostalgia, and joie de vivre. She says, “I view my art as a joyful respite in the middle of life’s hardships.” Heather draws inspiration from childhood memories, nature, historical figures, and by studying the works of her favorite artists. Her favorite mediums are acrylic, oil, watercolor, pen and ink and charcoal and graphite. An advocate for arts and culture, Heather is the President of the Wellington Art Society (WAS) (2023-2025) and has attained WAS Signature Member status. Most recently, Heather’s “Flying Ace” was awarded Best in Show by the Town of Jupiter Art Committee. The painting was subsequently purchased by the Town to be permanently hung in the main lobby of their new town hall. When she is not in her studio creating, Heather can be found teaching private and group art classes for teens to adults, advocating for arts and culture in her community, and volunteering her time and talents to make art available to those in need. She also has the privilege to work for and be mentored by master oil painter, Laurie Snow Hein.
