Kevin Baldwin

Kevin Baldwin, D.M.A. (Natick, MA) is a visual artist, composer, and saxophonist with extensive contemporary musical training. Kevin uses the visual aesthetic of musical notation to change the performer's and audiences' (visual and music) relationship with music. Kevin's experiments with visual art led to a commission through the Paul R. Judy Center for Innovation and Research Grant for a series of graphic scores which reoriented notation for performers to interpret. Further exhibitions and collaborations translating the visual aspects of music have resulted in additional awards, including an Honorable Mention in the 2020 International Society of Experimental Art Juried Exhibition.

?Kevin has traveled and performed internationally as a saxophonist championing modern saxophone and performance techniques. The New York Times called Kevin " precise and energetic." Additionally, Kevin has received commissions and numerous premieres from international ensembles and has received several artist residencies including at Akademie Schloss Solitude in Stuttgart, GE.
